With G having been at work most of the summer, these past few months have just disappeared. Doc is 14 months; he runs, climbs, tantrums, and communicates in consonants and grunts. At his one year appointment he weighed 25 lbs so I'm guessing he's close to 30 now. Today we went to Yeager's to buy rocks then found some rubber boots at Little Bugs. Uncle Matt also delivered a slide this morning, which Doc mastered quite quickly. It is amazing how quickly he catches on to things. He'll try something once or twice or watch someone else do it and he's suddenly an expert. It might be nice if things could slow down a little but it is exciting to see such progress.

Washington apple snob

I only really eat apples in the Fall. They're so good in season that it doesn't seem worth it to waste my time on something that has lost all of its flavor and crispness when they're out of season. I'm excited for the apples on the end tree at mom's house. I'll have to introduce Doc to John and Dori at the orchard when they open, too. Honeycrisp cider is wonderful.

Sweet peas at Grandma's house

I don't find them particularly attractive but the smell is my absolute favorite of all flowers. They're crazy tangled (I have a problem with planting too many seeds), but I keep picking them and they keep replenishing. I wish we could share some with Baby Bel.

The garden

We have tomatoes, cucumbers, snap peas, beets, radishes, and carrots. The first round of radishes is already done so I need to start round two.
