Car ride

Doc has a tendency to get rowdy with his books. He likes to pull off a stack from the bottom shelf then will pick one to give a good working over. He can open and close and bend and sit on a book for as long as I'll let him. His favorite is still Oliver Finds His Way, which we've had memorized for months.

He's a roller

He's been rolling to his right for a couple of weeks (me being on the right side of the bed may have provided some motivation). He sees things now and rolls to where he can get a good view then does the mermaid (or rather the merman) on his belly to watch it. When he gets tired of that he stretches out flat and pushes with his legs like he's going to crawl. He's talking to the fan here until he sees the camera and rolls to start talking to me. It gets really frustrating for him because he wants to move so bad and put everything in sight into his mouth.
We're still trying cereal every week but he's not ready quite yet. He's wearing 6-12 month clothes (18-24 if it's slim fit) and size 4 Pampers (bigger than cousin Bell). This is 16 weeks, his four month birthday is coming up quick.

We might have a talker in the family

The illusive stripy ridgeback...

difficult to train but very sweet once domesticated.
This doesn't count as a real roll, but he moves pretty well now.

Crook neck squash

I still have to put things in his fist for him then he does the shaking and brings the toy to his mouth. He's starting to get very drooly and wants to suck on everything (dada's t-shirt, grandma's arm, mama's face, a velvety crook neck squash...).

He's very talkative

He usually talks a lot now during his happy hour after he eats. The camera is really distracting for him now so I had to record at an odd angle so he wouldn't pay attention to it. I'm above him making crazy faces and doing jazz hands to keep him talking.

Push ups

He rolled over this afternoon from his belly to his back. It happened twice in a row but he wouldn't do it again once I started recording the video. He made it look easy. In this video he looks mad, but he's just trying to be a tough guy.

He's trying to be a muscle pounder or just a bruiser like aunt Maddy
